The wiko K-Kool is among the newest devices from the French manufacturer to land in Nairobi and other major towns. Wiko has gained popularity among Kenyans due to affordability and impressive design of their devices, posing stiff competition to brands with an already established market in the region. Wiko K-KOOL is no different, a beautifully designed affordable smartphone that is very easy to handle and use.

Look and feel

The device comes with a 5.0-inch display perfect for viewing images and watching videos. Its shape is slightly rounded for an excellent grip in hand and a pleasing overall design. K-KOOL’s sturdy aluminium body is underlined by a thin colour line, for a trendy bi-colour touch. Weighing about 174 grams, the device is quite bulky, though.

Camera

The wiko k-kool has a 2MP front camera for selfie lovers as well as a 5MP rear camera with panorama mode to capture the beauty of a landscape, HDR to make your images brighter and high quality among other functions intended to help improve the quality of your photos.

Performance

This is a big deal for most Kenyans; nobody likes to walk around with a charger or a bulky power bank.

If you are upgrading to a smartphone for the first time, the wiko k-kool is a good device for you. It is an affordable device going at KSH. 8,000 at retail dealerships.

Summary

The French manufacturer could have done a better job on the wiko k-kool regarding weight and SIM. And can’t help but feel most of the customers the device is meant to target would prefer a dual-SIM.
