The new Tecno C9’s main selling point is its camera. The phone is available in a number of colours, comprising of champagne gold, sandstone black and elegant blue. The phone is certainly one of the best mid-level smartphones in the market currently, it is an efficient and exquisite smartphone that is relatively affordable. Here’s the full review:

Design and display

This device comes with a 5.5 inches display full HD 1920 x 1080. The phone has an aluminium frame surrounding, two volume buttons, a power button and a dedicated camera button which can open the camera without unlocking the phone, to make a total four buttons. The earphone jack placed on top of the phone with the USB charge port at the bottom of the phone.

Software and performance

In addition to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, this phone comes with Tecno mobile’s HiOS v1.0 skin that gives a different feel to this android version. It introduces a pretty efficient eye detection software for security purposes. The phone is run by 2GB of RAM and has 16 GB of internal memory.

Camera

The camera is the phone’s best feature. It has an incredible 13MP front and back camera with flash with the back camera being dual flash. The front camera has a perfect capturing angle that accommodates more people in a selfie. The camera can take impressive pictures even in the dark due to its modification for low light photography. It has an impressive video quality that can record HD 720 and 1080 pixels.


Battery

While the phone's 3000mAh battery can get moderate users through the day, heavy users may need to carry a charger or better still, a power bank.
