Wiko Robby: Specifications Review and price In Kenya
-Advertisement-
Wiko as a trademark is known for sporting
different, very beautiful colour variants on their devices. The Wiko Robby, their most recent device is
no different. The French phone manufacturer unveiled this phablet earlier this
year, and it is no doubt a good creation.
The device is clean, thanks to its metallic finish and large, since most
people like it that way; it’s pretty inconvenient for one to hold. However, the
device is as basic as it can get vis-à-vis the standards of a smartphone in
this day and age. Price in Kenya is
ksh.10, 499. Here’s the full review.

Build and design
With a height of 10 millimetres, the device
is not exactly slim. It has a solid feel and rather heavier than high-end
phablets with a weight of 185 grams. The smartphone squeaks and cracks when it
is twisted revealing the pressure on the otherwise impression of a decent
build. The back cover is metal whereas the bezel is made of plastic. The casing
is available in various colours making Wiko's
Robby a very colourful device.
Screen and display
The device comes with a 5.5” IPS LCD screen
allows the user to view its content pretty clearly and larger in size. The
phone screen brightness can adjust and adapt to current environment pretty
quick, can be quite inaccurate sometimes, but this is one of the most
impressive things about this phone. The phone inability to play HD videos can
be seen as a downer to people who love watching media from a smartphone.
Performance
Put in comparison with more costly devices
in the Kenyan market, the performance deficiency in Wiko’s Robby is apparent in some of the most routine smartphone
tasks. The smartphone runs on a four-core MediaTek MT6580M chipset clocked at
1.3 GHz.
Camera
The device comes with a 5-megapixels front
camera with LED flash and on the rear, the device sports an 8-megapixel camera
alongside autofocus and LED flash. The
photo quality is not very satisfactory when compared with higher-quality
lenses, but it is a good average in its price range.
Summary
Wiko’s
Robby is a pretty convenient device and quite
affordable. It is an excellent option for people looking for a mid-range
phablet. The price in Kenya is ksh.10,
499 and you can get it on Jumia Kenya.
