The Tecno camon C7 is among the Chinese manufacturer’s latest project and one of the best smartphones below KES 15,000 in the Kenyan market. You can think of this device as a lite version of the camon C9 with most of the features cut down. The 1.3GHz octa-core processor has been downgraded to a quad-core processor, but it retained the 1.3GHz, the display has been reduced to a 5-inch, and the LTE 4G connectivity was cut down to 3G among other changes. In terms of design, the device looks a lot like the camon C9. Both devices have an iris (eye) scanner technology and the T-band, the only major differences come in the form of hardware and software changes mentioned above.  The camon C7 is still a decent smartphone despite all the changes. The Tecno camon C7 comes with a larger display than the C5. The 5-inch display 1280x720 screen is perfect for watching videos and viewing photos. The smartphone comes with a 13MP front and back cameras optimised for a superb photo experience.

Hardware and operating system

The device comes with 2 GBs of RAM and a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor under the Android 6.0 marshmallow with the HIOS v 1.0 user interface on top. For better performance, Tecno camon C7 comes with 16 GB of internal memory expandable to 128 GB using a micro SD card.

Connectivity

The device is not LTE enabled which might not fare well with Kenyans with all the 4G fuss going on. Tecno camon C7 is a 3G enabled smartphone with dual SIM capability.
